Activities Above the Chapter Level
All exhibitors in the Katy ISD Livestock Show must participate in at least 2 activities above the chapter level to meet their activity requirement to show. The following activities will fulfill these requirements and are quickly approaching.
· Leadership Development Event (activity above the chapter level)
Members can join a Leadership Development Event (LDE) Team to be counted as an activity. These events allow students to present and test their knowledge on information about different facets of agriculture. Listen for details to be shared, invitations to be given, and practice schedules to be announced.
· Ag Olympics (activity above the chapter level)
All FFA Members are welcome to participate at the school barns for a day of fun and competition among all Katy ISD FFA members. KISD Ag Olympics will be held at the Gerald D. Young Agricultural Science Facility (school barns) on ____ beginning at _____ . You may register with Mrs. Jenschke by _______ or bring money on site; it will be $20.
· Morton Ranch Leadership Summit (activity above the chapter level)
On ______, members are invited to attend the KISD FFA Leadership Summit beginning at ______and will last until _______, at Morton Ranch High School. Members from each Katy ISD school will be in attendance. Members should take advantage of this activity close to home to receive credit for an activity above the chapter level. Students must provide their own transportation and the registration cost is $10. Details will be posted in the ag hallway.
